Hop from Loon

Today we brewed beer with the hops that we picked at the Loner Diep. So that becomes a REAL local beer. An experiment, because we don’t know the exact properties of the hops, the acidity, the aromas, etc. So it will take a while to see how it will taste. But we are confident! In a week we will add hops to the fermentation vessel (the so-called “dry hopping”) to ensure that the flavors of the hops are shown to their best advantage. And in a month we can try it. Now a name. It is a blond beer, so we thought of “Loner Blond”. But we would like to hear if someone knows a better name!
